Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.The Financial Services Restricted Program Accounting team is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Accountant. This individual will serve as an integral team member in support of the Company's Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable services for classified programs and will interact and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.This position is located in Redondo Beach, CA. Working remotely is NOT an option.• Preferably, the candidate will have an active Government Top Secret level clearance to support classified programs. If not, candidate must have the ability to obtain this within a reasonable amount of time following hire.Roles and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:• Interfacing with internal customers on a daily basis.• Plan and process check runs for highly classified vendor payments within compliance of purchase order and invoice terms and per established department policies and procedures.• Prepare, review, and submit highly classified customer billings within compliance of contract terms and conditions and per established department policies and procedures.• Reconciliation of outstanding payables and of aged receivables.• Monitors and reports incoming/outgoing cash for classified government contracts, includes providing support for banking/treasury requirements.• Prepare & post general journal entries.• Provide support for multiple types of internal & external audits.• Participate in special projects as needed.Candidates will need to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills during our interviewing process and provide examples of how they have driven continued success by finding and communicating opportunities for efficiencies and process improvement in their work experience.Basic Qualifications:• This role can be filled as either a Level 02 Accountant or a Level 03 Principal Accountant depending on education and relevant experience:• Level 02 Accountant: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting or Master’s degree and 1 year of relevant experience in finance or accounting• Level 03 Principal Accountant: Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting or Master’s degree and 4 year of relevant experience in finance or accounting• Professional experience in: Accounts Payable; Billings; Accounts Receivable; Contract Administration• Proficiency in MS Office Suite - specifically high-level Excel skills (including: the ability to insert pivot tables, Vlookup, and conditional formatting, etc.); also with Adobe Professional.• US Citizenship is required for this role and canddiates must be able to obtain and maintain Government Top Secret/SCI Level clearance within a reasonable amount of time following hire.Preferred Qualifications:• Active Government Top Secret Level clearance.• Experience with:• SAP (ECC and/or S4)• Blackline Reconciliations• Sage 50 Accounting• Professional experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry (specifically government contracting), and within a Financial Services team.Salary Range: $65,600.00 - $98,400.00Salary Range 2: $80,600.00 - $121,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
