The Senior Director provides strategic leadership and oversight for key divisions within the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA), ensuring alignment with the agency’s mission to improve health and care access for Oklahomans. This role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, managing high-performing teams, and leading key initiatives that support organizational growth and excellence. By fostering strong stakeholder relationships, optimizing resource management, and ensuring fiscal accountability, the Senior Director contributes to achieving OHCA’s core values of passion for purpose, empowerment, trust, transparency, and outcome-driven leadership.
Develop and implement strategic plans that align with organizational goals and drive business growth.
Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness through the optimization of processes and resource management.
Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams to achieve organizational objectives and foster a culture of excellence.
Enhance stakeholder relationships and ensure effective communication of organizational initiatives and achievements.
Ensure fiscal responsibility through effective budgeting, resource management, and financial oversight.
Lead and support organizational change initiatives to enhance business performance and adaptability.
Other duties as assigned.

This position requires in-depth knowledge of agency policies, state and federal legislation, and strategic program administration. Strong leadership skills are essential for managing complex divisions, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring effective stakeholder communication. Additionally, financial acumen and resource management capabilities are crucial for aligning budgets with organizational objectives.

Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of professional business or public administration experience, including 4 years in a supervisory or administrative capacity OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting 1 year of professional or technical administrative experience in business or public administration for each year of the required education.
NOTE: No substitution will be allowed for the required professional experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
Current/valid license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Oklahoma
Bachelor’s in accounting, finance, business administration or a closely related field
Professional level experience in budgeting, accounting, auditing or finance
Governmental budget experience
Experience with State of Oklahoma systems (PeopleSoft, Hyperion, or MMIS)
Must be able to remain sitting for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to move or lift up to 15 pounds at various times.
The office work environment includes regular exposure to general office equipment such as computer equipment, phones, and copy machines.
