Senior Fullstack Engineer, Creator Experience

We’re continuing to invest heavily in building the best creator tools with the best team in the creator economy, and are looking for a Fullstack Engineer to support our mission.

This role is based in San Francisco and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.

About the Role

• Lead and contribute to the design and development of products that enhance the experience of Patreon creators

• Advocate for best patterns and practices in the areas of system design, performance, and testing

• Drive clarity and alignment on technical vision and direction

• Advocate for engineering systems and solutions that will accelerate product development in the long-run

• Work with a fully cross functional team to define and deliver new product features

• Build a strong product-minded engineering culture by mentoring and guiding engineers

About You

• 5+ years of experience in full stack software development

• In depth knowledge of Typescript/Javascript and experience with React, Node.js and Yarn/NPM

• In depth knowledge of Python, PHP, Java or a similar general purpose language

• Strong understanding of web servers, API design frameworks, and data modeling

• Excellent communication skills to facilitate requirements gathering, decision-making, and knowledge sharing.

• Holds a high standard of quality and craft with an eye for UX and engineering detail

• A track record of building systems with attention to detail, high reliability, and high throughput

• Penchant for solving complex requirements with elegant and simple solutions

• Enthusiastic about building for creators
