Job Description

The well-being specialist is responsible for taking a leading role in promoting and driving well-being programs and initiatives across the company to ensure our Team Members are healthy, happy, and productive. They have a passion for health and well-being and champion a variety of health-related fields at Pilot, to include but not limited to physical health, mental health, company engagement and satisfaction for team members and guests.  The specialist monitors the performance of all associated vendors and suppliers to ensure highest amount of impact with best possible cost.

Essential Functions

  1. Provide tactical and strategic support to Team Members in support of their health and well-being.
  2. Respond to inquiries regarding product questions by researching and resolving issues, partnering with the benefits team, IT business partners, HR business partners and others.
  3. Partner with vendors for chronic disease prevention and population health; strengthens relationships with local and national health and fitness vendors, health professionals, and specialists.
  4. Review and analyze current well-being programs to assess competitiveness, determine gaps and identify opportunities.
  5. Plan, develop and deliver onsite and virtual initiatives that align with well-being strategy and improve workforce health, productivity, and well-being for all Team Members.
  6. Manage onsite corporate fitness center including day-to-day operation of fitness center and on-site fitness instructors.
  7. Passion for health and well-being and will serve as a subject matter expert in these areas.
  8. Partner with Communications and key leadership, including Operations leaders, Human Resources, Safety, Risk to implement, promote and coordinate well-being programs.
  9. Facilitate weekly well-being sessions, to include presenting as needed.
  10. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure team members and guests are supported at the highest level.
  11. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  12. Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required and preferably in Health, Exercise Science, Nutrition, Business Administration, Human Resources or related area is preferred.
  2. Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience is preferred in corporate wellness, human resources, or related field.
