UX/UI Designer

At Portainer, we work to make Docker and Kubernetes management straightforward and painless for Enterprise IT teams. Many of our customer satisfaction survey results mention the ease of use and clear design of Portainer.

This role is charged with maintaining (and improving!) that.

We are looking for an experienced UI and UX designer who is comfortable working on a highly technical product (don’t worry, we’ll provide all the training you want). We’re looking for someone who knows how to step into the shoes of our customers, and work with our Product and Engineering teams to build something great.

We want someone who will work with and enhance our existing design system to enable us to ship software incrementally, and try to keep pace with a rapidly evolving industry.

You’ll get to design software that’s used by hundreds of thousands of people every day, shown on stage at conferences, and genuinely makes people’s work lives better.

We provide all the usual - competitive benefits, remote working (with regular team catch ups in main centres if you’d like), and an exciting startup company where you can make a real impact.

Ideally you would:

  • Have deep experience in designing software products (we use Figma but we’re not precious about tooling)
  • Have a solid understanding of user experience and principles thereof
  • Know how to collaborate and work effectively and incrementally with Product and Engineering teams

And as a bonus:

  • Some understanding of software engineering, or infrastructure tooling such as Docker or even Kubernetes

But! We encourage you to apply regardless of the above, we’re excited to fit the role to the right person.

Portainer is already experiencing huge growth; however, we're still very much in our infancy. We believe we're at the start of a wild ride. Joining Portainer as a UX/UI designer will give you:

  • The opportunity to play an instrumental role in shaping a truly disruptive company at the beginning of its journey
  • A great remuneration package
  • An opportunity to work with an ambitious team of passionate Portaineers looking to make a real difference in how the technology world works.
