Copy Director (Group Copy Supervisor)

We are looking for a Copy Director to join our team. You are a seasoned professional known for consistently producing high-quality, impactful content. You not only handle significant projects but also play a pivotal role in guiding the tone and direction of campaigns, often working in tandem with strategy teams. This is a craft-leadership role, where you will be primarily working to deliver on client requirements independently, while working with leadership to define best practices - in some organizations this would be called a Group Copy Supervisor. You will report to an Associate Creative Director. 


This role is open to remote candidates in the United States or Canada, with a preference for candidates in the Eastern time zone.


Responsibilities:
  • Develop and create content for large-scale, pivotal advertising campaigns that shape the brand narratives.
  • Work directly with clients and cross-functional teams to gather in-depth product information, ensuring content aligns with overall strategy.
  • Serve as a go-to expert within the copywriting team for complex topics or intricate projects.
  • Collaborate closely with the design and strategy teams to ensure content and visuals are cohesive and impactful.
  • Offer guidance and insights to other copywriters, sharing expertise and helping to elevate the overall quality of work produced by the team.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, life sciences, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing with a proven track record for effectively managing a high volume of work and the day-to-day needs of an account
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and the ability to navigate complex regulatory challenges.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and the ability to contribute to agency growth in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Communicates with and directs freelancer support, as needed, to deliver high quality work within the agreed upon timelines
  • Ability to manage high volume of work, and manage freelancer support as needed to deliver client goals


$105,000 - $145,000 a year
