Marketing & Product Analytics Team Lead (m/f/d)

We’re looking for a Marketing and Product Analytics Lead (m/f/d) to unlock insights across the entire customer journey - from first click to booking and beyond. You’ll work closely with our Product and Marketing departments to understand how users reach and interact with our website, identify drop-offs, and uncover opportunities to improve engagement and increase conversion. Your work will shape how customers discover, explore, and experience our products.

THE ROLE - YOUR PASSION

We’re looking for a Marketing & Product Analytics Lead to head our insights function across growth and product. You will lead a team of analysts and steer the strategy for how we measure, understand, and improve customer journeys across our marketing and digital platforms.

This role is a leadership position, responsible not only for setting the analytical direction, but also for managing and mentoring a team of Marketing Analysts and Web Analysts. You’ll create a collaborative, high-performing environment where data becomes a competitive advantage — from attribution modeling to experimentation, from GA4 to RFM segmentation.

You’ll be the go-to person for aligning stakeholders around meaningful KPIs, driving insights, and enabling smarter decisions.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and Develop a High-Performing Analytics Team

  • Manage a team of Marketing Analysts and Web Analysts, ensuring clear priorities, career growth, and engagement. 

  • Conduct regular 1:1s, give feedback, and support professional development for each team member. 

  • Foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Define & Align on Marketing Performance Strategy

  • Develop a unified measurement framework across product and marketing.

  • Own the KPI tree and define how we track key metrics like CPO, ROAS, LTV, churn, and retention across platforms. 

  • Partner closely with leadership in , Product, and Marketing, to prioritize high-impact analyses and initiatives.

Turn Data into Business Action

  • Guide the team in creating impactful dashboards in Looker, Power BI, and Metabase

  • Ensure data is presented clearly and actionably, tailored to different stakeholder needs.

  • Identify key trends and root causes, turning insight into business recommendations.

Drive Strategic Modeling & Customer Insights

  • Lead the vision of Marketing Analytics, implementing and maintaining data products such as:

    • Attribution models (multi-touch, data-driven) 

    • Marketing mix modeling to support budget and media decisions 

    • RFM segmentation to inform CRM and lifecycle strategies   

  • Collaborate with Martech and Data teams to ensure models are integrated into campaigns and decision-making.

Apply Deep Knowledge of Web & Behavioral Analytics

  • Champion the use of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — ensuring robust tracking, accurate reporting, and actionable funnel insights. 

  • Use behavioral and product analytics tools (e.g. Amplitude, Mixpanel) to support digital optimization.

Be a Strategic Partner to the Business

  • Act as the strategic advisor to Growth, Product, and C-Level stakeholders.

  • Ensure the analytics roadmap is aligned with business priorities and challenges.

  • Translate complex data into clear narratives that support confident decisions.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SURF THE WAVE WITH US

  • 5+ years of experience in data/analytics roles, with at least 2+ years managing a team.

  • Proven track record of growing and mentoring analysts.

  • Strong communicator who can align stakeholders around data-informed decisions.

  • Hands-on experience in SQL and comfort guiding analysts on queries and logic (you won't build pipelines but you know your way around a warehouse). 

  • Expert in GA4, with experience designing event structures and pulling deep insights. 

  • Knowledgeable in attribution modeling, marketing mix modeling

  • Experience with Looker, Power BI, and Metabase — you know how to make dashboards that drive action. 

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing metrics, product funnels, experimentation, and cohort analysis
