About Us

Rockstar is a full-service recruiting solution that blends human expertise with AI to help small teams hire better, faster, and for dramatically less—just ~$1,250 per role. We combine outbound outreach, intelligent screening, and personalized recruiter support to help clients find top talent in record time.

Our platform enables hiring managers to review top-ranked candidates within 72 hours, see candidate preferences, and move faster on the right people. We work with startups and growing companies across industries—from fintech and SaaS to lifestyle brands and logistics—delivering incredible talent without the traditional agency price tag.

What You’ll Be Doing

We’re redesigning both sides of our product:

• The employer dashboard, where hiring managers review candidates, manage searches, and track progress

• The candidate dashboard, where job seekers manage preferences and interview requests

As our contract designer, you’ll be responsible for refreshing the UI/UX of both dashboards to improve usability, enhance brand consistency, and make navigating our product seamless and delightful.

You’ll work closely with our founder, product team, and engineering to:

• Audit the current UI and user flows to identify areas for improvement

• Create high-fidelity wireframes and mockups for both dashboards

• Translate product goals into elegant, Bootstrap-friendly web interfaces

• Ensure desktop-first usability and responsiveness

• Contribute to evolving our design system and visual identity

• Optionally, support front-end implementation if you have dev skills (a plus, but not required)

What We’re Looking For

2+ years of experience designing desktop web applications

• Comfort working with and extending Bootstrap-based themes

• A strong portfolio of product design work that includes real-world applications

• Experience in design tools like Figma, Sketch, or XD (we’re tool-agnostic—use what works for you)

• Strong attention to detail and UX sensibility

• Experience collaborating directly with product managers and developers

• Bonus: Front-end skills (HTML/CSS/Bootstrap/React or similar)

Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
