DescriptionSAIC is hiring for a Cybersecurity Specialist in Richmond, VA. This position requires 3 days onsite in Richmond and 2 remote days.The Cybersecurity Specialist performs a critical role ensuring the technology supporting IT support processes and workflows are working effectively, reliably, and compliant to meet service objectives and customer expectations. You will have the opportunity to solve technology problems, coordinate with multiple suppliers, and optimize processes through automation. This position offers the chance to research and analyze cybersecurity capabilities to satisfy data protection requirements. The Cybersecurity Specialist will also play a key role in representing current and future capabilities of supporting ITSM tools, automation, and contributing to long-term strategy as well as tactical activities leading to the continual improvement of the environment to meet security objectives.Position Summary:SAIC is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team supporting a major state & local government customer. Essential duties of this position include:Technical team support resource for the Security Management teams with emphasis on Risk management, Audit management, and Security documentation.Participate in audit-based artifact collection and investigations, providing team support in security management monitoring functions.Support team efforts in working with other Service Tower Suppliers and Customers to develop plans for the integration of systems and applications into the infrastructure.Support team efforts in the development and maintenance of technical guidance and oversight for the Risk Management, Audit Management, and Security repository tools and procedures.Develop and participate in security training planning, and system security planning and provide oversight for staff and Suppliers to maintain compliance with Commonwealth and IT Infrastructure (ITISP) requirements.Act as Process Owner for Operational Security Processes (Cross-Functional); ensure Processes are maintained and updated on a regular basis.Oversee security audit management for SAIC and Supplier staff including oversight for compliance and quality of security documentation, artifacts, and reporting.QualificationsBackground / ExperienceProvides expertise on security audit artifacts, mapping NIST 800-83 to security documentation, and supporting the team with Customer Cybersecurity initiatives using NIST CSF processes.Provides the ability to create and maintain processes and procedures to support a robust Cybersecurity management program.Provides support to plan, coordinate, and implement the organization’s information security activities and projects.Supports efforts of security staff to design, develop, engineer, and implement solutions to security requirements.Supports the implementation and development of the MSI internal security protocols and processes.Gathers and organizes technical information, artifacts, and documents about existing security products, and improvement opportunities in ongoing programs.A working knowledge of security practices and procedures; knowledge of current security tools available; hardware/software security implementation; different communication protocols; encryption techniques/tools; familiarity with commercial off-the-shelf security products, and current Internet/data center and cloud technologies.Provide support for monitoring events and ongoing maintenance activities.Knowledge and understanding of risk management, asset management, ticketing management, and monitoring tools used in modern infrastructure.Knowledge and understanding of modern technology and practices in incident response, Intrusion Detection and Intrusion Prevention systems, Endpoint systems, firewalls, sensors, routers/switches, and identity and access management.Education / Certifications / OtherAssociate or Bachelor’s degree, in lieu of a degree, 2-4 years of related experience may be considered.Must be a US Citizen.Possession of security certification preferred.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent communications skills, help desk experience preferred.ITIL certification preferred (Foundation or above).Operational knowledge of the following preferred: ServiceNow, SharePoint, Planview, Splunk, Tenable Nessus, Powerbait, Okta, Active Directory (AD).Strong skills with MS Office products and Microsoft SharePoint.Experience with two or more of the following preferred:Endpoint Security.Network Security.Internet Security, OWASP Top 10.NIST 800-53 requirements.SOC I and SOC II Type II audits.Cloud based Platforms, i.e., AWS, Azure, GCP.#J-18808-Ljbffr
