The Team:  
The candidate will join IT, Content Platforms team to build new platforms as well as continuous improvement of existing platforms to meet the needs of the business. This position requires deep technical knowledge and experience.  

 

The Content Portfolio suite of platforms and services includes content creation with annotation and tagging, packaging and layout curation and automation, digital rights management, content transfer services, foreign language translation services, as well as an AI Project Hub.

As a Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing internal content platforms. Your contributions will directly impact the Commodity Insights business by enhancing the speed and efficiency, leading to faster decision-making for our clients and a competitive edge in the market.

You will have the opportunity to build capabilities that leverage artificial intelligence, Large Language Models and collaborating with business partners on prompt engineering to implement automation reducing the “time to market” for products without compromising quality, by using innovation and technical skills. 

The role offers extensive business and technical problem solving in a highly dynamic and collaborative work environment. This is an opportunity to work in a niche business domain that is highly complex and offers the right candidate opportunities to take ownership of components within the ecosystem using cutting edge technologies in a friendly collaborative atmosphere. 

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the editorial ecosystem, and as a result work with various development, shared service teams within/outside the program on enhancements, new requirements, and impact analysis for any major changes – functional or technical. 

  • Work closely with product owners, to understand business requirements, provide solution options bycreating high level design documents for approval, and ensuring successful implementation by the development team. 

  • Work closely with Architecture and Technology SMEs to formulate new solutions or enhance existing solutions to meet business needs. 

  • Experience in working with multiple application environments, and support business continuity across multiple geographic regions inclusive of Implementing DevOps culture, and use of tools to ensure Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery for application deployment and adhering to S&P security requirements for vulnerability remediation. 

  • Technically mentor and guide a group of developers, leading them to meet deliverables day to day in an agile environment and adopting new and upcoming technologies. 
     

What We’re Looking For:

  • 9+ years of hands-on experience with key development technologies including Java, J2E, Springboot, React, HTML/CSS/Javascript. Others such as Python, Angular would be beneficial. 

  • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience, showcasing the ability to effectively guide and develop teams while driving successful project outcomes.

  • Knowledge of databases, integration architectures/patterns and data modelling essential. 

  • API best practices, application servers, cloud services (especially AWS) and code quality/secure development are all essential. 

  • Experience of DevOps, CI/CD and source control tools and best practices required. 

  • Experience in prompt engineering and GenAI/LLM models. 

  • Experience in single sign-on integrations (IDP, SP initiated, SAML, OAuth/OpenID)  

  • Able to work independently to create POCs and provide technical recommendations for solutions to problems with supporting evidence. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to author technical artefacts, present and explain designs to peers and development teams. 

  • Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects with the Ability to balance business priorities with technical requirements and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $152,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.  This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
