We help our customers movethe world.Position Overview:Siemens Mobility Customer Service is seeking an experiencedCommercial Project Manager (CPM) / Controlling Manager to be responsible for allcommercial aspects related to a customer contract (“Project”) starting with thesales phase up to the end of the complete project execution phase. TheCPM is fully responsible for financial and commercial management (Contract,costs, revenue, and cash flow) throughout the project execution phase. Thisencompasses sales controlling, performance measurement, planning, forecasting,reporting, customer negotiations, project team leadership and risk andopportunity management. The primary contacts for the CPM include Customers,Suppliers, Project Managers/ Engineers, Procurement, Legal Department,Operational Review, other Commercial Project Managers, Heads of local Finance& Business Administration, internal and external Auditors, and centralFinancial Services.What your day-to-day will look like:• Ensureaccurate financial project set up including WBS structure in line with agreedproject budget and company internal contractual arrangements. Set up of afinancial performance plan for the project based on the planned deliveryschedule for the offered scope during the sales phase and handle it through theproject execution phase.• Set upand closely monitor revenue recognition: actual vs plan, degree of completion,cost to complete, total forecasted costs vs planned. Ensure full compliance ofrevenue and cost recognition with Siemens accounting policies under US-GAAP /IFRS, as well as overall compliance with internal controls, i.e.Sarbanes-Oxley, export control, signature authorities.• Performfinancial planning, forecasting, controlling, reconciliation of project cashflow and constant deviation analysis. Ensure data integrity between SAPback-end and specific front-end tools (division specific).• Supportthe responsible Project Manager on organizational change issues (variations)relating to the scope of the project contractually and internal. Acquireverification and approval of variations prior to submittal to the customerensuring appropriate costing and pricing in accordance with PM@SiemensGuidelines.• Constantlyassess risks and opportunity and their impact either in the risk registerand/or in the gross margin and propose measures to prevent negative marginslippage due to risks that could have been avoided.• Implementand drive measures together with the project manager to leverage opportunitiesto improve the project performance, e.g. through claims and variationmanagement. Support Project Managers to ensure Project Quality based onPM@Siemens Guidelines and achievement of project goals (Revenue, Margin,SG&A, etc.).• Ensurequality on all commercial and administrative project quality policies as perPM@Siemens and Siemens guidelines.To thrive in this role, you have:• Bachelor’sdegree or in lieu of degree 8+ years of equivalent experience in FinancialProject management of complex projects.• 5+years of successful Financial Project Management experience in complexprojects.• PMICertification or PM@Siemens C or B.• Excellentlydemonstrated verbal, and written communication skills as well asdemonstrated presentation skills.• Abilityto travel - 25%• Settingyou apart from others would be a CPA, MBA or MS in Finance, Economics,Accounting or Business with manufacturing experience and exposure togeneral accounting and cost accounting. Thepay range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $141,500-$191,500 and inLexington, NC is $128,700-$174,200 and the annual incentive target is 15% ofthe base salary.
