Description
UWorld is seeking a Social Media Specialist to help with various marketing tasks, including managing various social media channels, executing social campaigns, conducting social listening, driving awareness and engagement, reporting on social efforts, and other duties as assigned. From ongoing monitoring of social media channels to the execution and tracking of campaigns, the Social Media Specialist will work to generate new followers, build awareness for the company and its products, generate engagement with UWorld’s followers, and mitigate issues that arise via social media.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or related field required or ongoing education and equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge of social media platforms (especially Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, TikTok, and Pinterest), posting guidelines, trends, and adherence to best practices
- Experience with social listening and scheduling tools (preferably Sprout Social)
- Ability to copywrite social posts and create simple graphics (experience with Canva is a plus)
- Experience compiling, conducting, and reporting on customer voice and social media engagement metrics
- Previous general marketing and communications experience
Minimum Experience Required
JOB DUTIES (including but not limited to):
Social Media Management (60%)
- Work with product owners and UWorld marketing team to define social strategy
- Monitor assigned social media accounts to ensure compliance with UWorld’s standards
- Mitigate customer service issues that arise
- Build and maintain a community of followers within assigned social channels
- Recommend content to generate visibility and social engagement
- Execute assigned campaigns and regularly report metrics to measure success
- Lead or work on assigned company events (town halls, social committee events, focus groups, etc.)
- Enforce UWorld design/brand standards
- Conduct online customer surveys
Campaign Prep & Misc. (40%)
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Social media experience on multiple platforms and customer service savvy
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to define and report metrics of success
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Must be meticulously organized in collecting, storing, and reporting on data
- Ability to work well within a team environment with competing priorities
- Ability to react in a constructive manner to direct feedback
- Strong attention to detail with respect to adhering to and enforcing UWorld brand standards
