Stevens Industries, based in Teutopolis, Illinois, is excited to offer the opportunity for an Engineering CAD Design Technician to join our first shift team. In this vital role, you'll be at the forefront of improving quality and efficiency through innovative systems while also guiding and supporting the work of others. As an Engineering CAD Design Technician, you will automate existing systems to boost performance, ensuring seamless communication with project managers and production teams to clarify job requirements. You will have the opportunity to dive into blueprints and elevation views, finding the best solutions for producing products that meet architectural standards while balancing cost, safety, and functionality. Your expertise in the Microvellum program will allow you to design both standard and custom casework products using Excel-driven formulas, driving the routing data that steers parts through production. You’ll also run queries in Microsoft Access to detect and rectify anomalies. With a commitment to timely and pleasant support for the production floor, you will help minimize production impact while continuously developing and researching hardware for our offerings. Working on multiple jobs under pressure while maintaining high quality and accuracy will be part of your daily challenge. If you have an Associate’s degree in a related field, or at least four years of experience in construction or architectural design, this could be a perfect fit for you.
