Junior Designer

At Tagup, we use machine learning to make the machines that power the world safer, more reliable, and more efficient. As a rapidly scaling AI/ML technology company, we are looking to expand our team.


We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Junior Designer to join our team. In this role, you will support the design and development of Tagup’s product interfaces and marketing website. You'll collaborate closely with senior designers, product managers, and engineers to translate ideas into polished, user-friendly digital experiences.


Responsibilities
  • Support the creation and refinement of design concepts, mockups, and prototypes for our digital products and website.
  • Produce responsive web designs that are user-friendly and visually compelling.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate user requirements and technical specifications into design deliverables.
  • Assist in maintaining our design systems, style guides, and design documentation for consistency across platforms.
  • Contribute to UX research activities including user interviews, usability testing, and analysis of user feedback to inform design decisions.
  • Provide graphics and visual assets for internal and external communication as needed.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience (internships or freelance experience are acceptable).
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Material UI.
  • Basic understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive web design.
  • Experience or interest in working within software development cycles, collaborating with developers, and understanding front-end capabilities (HTML, CSS, JavaScript knowledge is a plus but not required).
  • Strong visual design skills and an eye for detail, typography, layout, and color theory.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate your design rationale.
  • A portfolio demonstrating relevant design work and problem-solving skills is required.


Nice to Have
  • Experience or interest in enterprise software, defense technology, or logistics software.
  • Familiarity with design systems, accessibility standards, and user-centered design methodologies.
  • Experience or interest in AI technology, analytics, or enterprise software.
  • Experience with Webflow or similar web-building tools.
  • Basic knowledge of frontend frameworks like React.


$90,000 - $105,000 a year
