We are a group of industry veterans who are guided by the belief that empowering our teams and providing the proper time, tools, and support we can foster a creative culture where everyone can do their best work.Our new studio is located in Austin, TX, and we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Lead Audio Designer to join us and bring our first AAA game to life by creating immersive and believable audio.Reporting to the Audio Director you will play a meaningful role as we prototype and kick off pre-production. You'll help design and establish our audio workflows and pipelines, lead our audio design team, and set the bar for the fidelity and quality of our audio experience. The perfect candidate will be passionate about creating quality audio experiences, have experience working in horror, and have broad abilities and a good understanding of the technical side of game audio. You have high standards in everything you do and are dedicated to crafting the best experience for the player possible. You put the player first.What You'll Do• Design, record, edit and mix sound effects for every aspect of the game audio.• Collaborate with our Audio Director to bring our vision and strategy to life, while aiming for the highest quality.• Work closely with other teams such as Design, Programming an Animation to design features that are immersive and impactful for our players• Collaborate with other departments in order to deliver audio in quality and time.• Work with outsource and co-development partners outside of the studio to guide development, align vision, and provide feedback.• Create systems for audio integration that support our vision and ambitions for the game experience.What You'll Bring• 6+ years of experience in an Audio Designer role.• 2+ yrs experience managing teams and individuals.• Experience working with Unreal Editor and Wwise.• Demonstrated creative and technical achievements in sound design.• Solid understanding of technical audio theory and audio engineering.• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.• Exceptional organization skills.Compensation Range, Currency USD:• Starting Pay Range: $141,040• Pay Range End: $235,080In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation range for this role. The range listed is just one component of Wizards of the Coast’s total compensation package for employees. Employees may also be eligible for annual and long-term incentives.
