Social Media Manager

Talkiatry is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager of Social Media to lead and execute our organic social media strategy, creating a compelling and professional digital presence that drives patient discovery, strengthens employer branding, and expands organic reach. The ideal candidate is highly creative, collaborative, and data-driven, with a proven ability to engage diverse audiences while maintaining brand authority and credibility in the mental health space.

About Talkiatry:

Talkiatry transforms psychiatry with accessible, human, and responsible care. We’re a national mental health practice co-founded by a patient and a triple-board-certified psychiatrist to solve the problems both groups face in accessing and providing the highest quality treatment.

60% of adults in the U.S. with a diagnosable mental illness go untreated every year because care is inaccessible, while 45% of clinicians are out of network with insurers because reimbursement rates are low, and paperwork is unduly burdensome.   With innovative technology and a human-centered philosophy, we provide patients with the care they need—and allow psychiatrists to focus on why they got into medicine.

You will:
  • Lead strategy and execution for Talkiatry’s social media and social content channels as part of the Marketing organization
  • Create engaging content in collaboration with Talkiatry’s doctors, leadership team and creative team to reach our key audiences: patients, clinicians, health system partners
  • Tailor content across social channels that resonate and generate engagement on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, X.
  • Plan, maintain, and execute an editorial calendar, ensuring a steady cadence of engaging educational and inspirational content.
  • Develop and manage an input, review, and approval workflow to ensure efficient collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Monitor social conversations and brand mentions, identifying opportunities to engage and mitigating risks to brand reputation.
  • Gather actionable insights from analytics to refine content strategies and optimize engagement.
  • Stay updated on platform trends, algorithm changes, and competitor activities to keep the strategy innovative and effective.

You are:
  • Creative & Strategic Thinker – You craft innovative, engaging strategies that align with larger business goals.
  • Organized & Deadline-Driven – You manage workflows and editorial calendars efficiently to deliver quality content on time.
  • Data-Driven & Analytical – You use insights from analytics to inform strategy and measure success.
  • Adaptable & Trend-Savvy – You monitor social trends and platform updates, quickly adjusting strategies to maintain relevance.
  • Compliance-Minded & Ethical – You ensure all content adheres to regulatory standards without compromising creativity.
  • Decisive & Collaborative Problem-Solver – You prioritize tasks effectively, making informed decisions and seeking input when needed.

You have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in social media management for high-growth brands.
  • Proven track record of building engaged audiences across platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Strong proficiency in social media tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Brand Bastion) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, native platform tools).
  • Expertise in writing and editing, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different platforms.
