About your Team

Teachable is looking for a creative, driven growth designer to drive retention, monetization, and revenue growth—ensuring our creators not only engage with our product but also see lasting value. As a growth designer, you’ll blend UX design, behavioral psychology, and data-driven experimentation to refine key revenue-driving touchpoints and craft seamless, impactful user experiences. 

At Teachable, Product Designers lead design from ideation to launch—advocating for users, conducting discovery, refining designs, and iterating post-launch. You’ll work closely with product managers, marketing, engineers, and data analysts to build sticky, high-value experiences that keep users engaged and invested in our product.

In this role, you'll:

  • Design – Craft usable, polished product experiences that drive growth and retention.
  • Empathize –Regularly connect with our users to learn about their needs and market trends. Dig deep with research to help answer, "What should we build?"
  • Advocate – Speak up for the user while keeping business goals in mind. Great design happens when both thrive.
  • Commit – Bring the team along as you own your work from idea to launch. Sketch, test, tweak, and bring your best ideas to life.
  • Optimize – Try, learn, repeat. Quick experiments help us fine-tune designs and stay ahead of the game.
  • Communicate – Keep everyone in the loop. Clear goals, good storytelling, and strong teamwork make all the difference.

What You'll Bring:

  • 2+ years of professional product design experience, bonus points for experience on a growth team
  • An understanding of psychology and user behavior to drive engagement.
  • Strong UX/UI skills with a focus on usability and conversion.
  • Expertise in visual design principles such as consistency, color, typography, responsive layout, and animation.
  • Effective storytelling and communication skills to be able to collaborate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A portfolio with case studies showcasing your product design work.
  • That spark of curiosity that drives you to create great experiences for your users.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in growth stage ($10MM - $100MM ARR) companies.
  • Familiarity with lifecycle messaging, retention loops, and churn mitigation strategies.

Additional details

At Teachable, we are committed to providing fair and competitive pay (using market data to inform our pay bands), rewarding high performance, and ensuring all employees have the opportunity and ability to impact Teachable’s overall company value. Base salaries will be reviewed at regular intervals throughout the year, typically following performance review cycles currently conducted annually or in conjunction with a promotion.

  • This role is open to candidates who can work hybrid in our NY office 1-2 days a week. 
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. 
  • For this role, the base salary range is $92,000 to 135,000. A salary offer will be determined by a number of factors including experience, skill level, education, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all teammate pay and compensation programs regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay.
