Trade Compliance Specialist

This is a 12 month extending contract that is hybrid 3 days a week onsite. You can sit in either Austin, TX or San Jose, CATop Skills:1) 6+ years in customs/trade compliance managing large import compliance programs for professional service / fortune 500 / high tech companies. US AND Canada Import Compliance.2) Experience with classification of imports for Us and Canada2) Dealing with external vendors on regular basis (carriers, transportation companies, etc.)3) Leveraging Excel and SAP (or other large ERP systems) for classification and driving KPI/data analysisDescription• Support the Clients Global Trade classification program and other classification teams globally.o Conduct classification analysis to arrive at an accurate HTS by using various trade tools such as GRIs, CROSS rulings, WCO explanatory notes, and other classification tools.o Maintain & monitor previous part classifications in SAP-GTS to ensure consistent and valid tariff numbers.o Monitor, measure and develop reports with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs.)o Evaluate new government requirements and partner with regional teams to ensure import compliance.o Perform global classification and duty analysis on clients products.o Lead global classification audits and root cause any errors.o Manage classification specific projects as assigned.• Create and maintain process and procedures.• Create effective and clear communication with stakeholders (Emails, Presentations, etc.)Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
