Job Description

We're in search of a highly motivated, personable, and detail-oriented individual to contribute to all aspects of our student experience and growing community. Our Studio Lead will work closely with the Studio Manager and Studio Support Team in an inspiring, fun work environment to ensure that our students are thriving and the studio space is humming. As Studio Lead you will be responsible for delegating tasks to team members, and resolving problems that occur on shift. The Studio Lead will perform the same tasks as the Studio Support Staff while having the authority to manage co-workers in the absence of a Studio Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide managerial leadership and support during shifts when the Studio Manager is absent.

  • Assist Studio Manager and Brand Manager with daily retail operations, including in-studio product sales, inventory management, and ship from Studio fulfillments.

  • Must be able to lead and supervise onsite and offsite workshops, events and private Classes with the Studio Manager or in their absence. 

  • Assist Studio Manager in creating Staff Schedule. 

  • Assist Studio Manager w/ Production Duties (mic cleanings, routine light and sound equipment maintenance, Video On-Demand Studio Setup)

  • Lead the Studio Support team to ensure a smooth and efficient flow during shifts.

  • Assist in training new front desk staff and provide scheduling support as needed.

  • Help manage studio inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed.

  • Maintain the aesthetic and atmosphere of The Class to ensure an inspiring environment.

  • Greet, check in, and welcome students to Class, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable.

  • Provide exceptional customer service and hospitality to all students, both new and returning.

  • Prepare and maintain the studio space, including cleaning mats, floors, and mirrors.

  • Maintain cleanliness and stock in common areas such as bathrooms, the locker area, and the front desk.

  • Support teachers with Class setup, breakdown, and assisting with student inquiries.

  • Have full knowledge of The Class method, schedule, and retail offerings to support student needs.

  • Collaborate with the Studio Manager and Studio Support team to complete daily studio tasks, checklists, and special projects.

  • Report any concerns or issues promptly to the Studio Manager or Building Management if necessary. 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Passionate about wellness and The Class methodology.

  • Outgoing, friendly, and approachable with a positive attitude.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative.

  • Experience in retail operations and driving sales is a plus.

  • Prior customer service, hospitality, or sales experience is required.

  • Exceptional communication skills.

  • Strong ability to work well in a team setting.

  • Familiarity with Mindbody or similar booking software is preferred.

  • Familiarity with Homebase or similar staff scheduling software is preferred.

  • Familiarity with Justworks or similar payroll software is preferred. 

  • Familiarity with Shopify or similar e-commerce software is preferred. 

  • Proficiency with computers and basic software.

  • Must be available mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 

 

Compensation

  • $25 per hour (up to 25 hours per week).
