Event Coordinator

The Educational Equality Institute, an NGO based in Norway committed to educating and thereby empowering disadvantaged girls.

In response to the war in Ukraine, we started the project: “Together for Ukraine”. Free educational programs where we, together with our partners, will help 100.000 Ukrainians shape their future through education, upskilling, and employment.

We are seeking an Event Coordinator to join our multicultural and motivated team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing, planning, and executing events that help us achieve our organization's goals and objectives.
As an event coordinator, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of events, including planning, budgeting, logistics, marketing, and post-event evaluation.

Role Scope

  • Plan and organize events that align with the NGO's mission and goals.
  • Develop and manage event budgets and work within budget constraints.
  • Manage all event details, including event registration, venue selection, etc.
  • Coordinate with event vendors, sponsors, and partners to ensure that all aspects of the event are in line with the organization's goals.
  • Develop and implement event marketing strategies to promote events and increase attendance along with our Marketing Team.
  • Ensure that all events comply with local regulations and safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful event planning and execution.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience in event planning or management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Intercultural competency (effective and appropriate communication with learners of other cultures).
  • Good spoken and written communication in English.
