Summary: The Intelligence team at Transfr is looking for a highly motivated Data Analyst/Scientist who is passionate about education. This individual will have the opportunity to work with researchers, engineers, and product designers across the company and engage in cutting-edge research and analytics to support the company’s mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with managers to gather requirements, define data analysis goals, and develop strategies.
  • Develop and refine statistical models and predictive algorithms to analyze user behaviors.
  • Transform user data into meaningful insights and recommendations for product design and improvement.
  • Evaluate and validate statistical methodologies and algorithms using user data and efficacy study results.
  • Conduct large-scale data mining and statistical analysis to drive customer retention and product enhancements.
  • Solve complex problems using multiple sources of user data.
  • Review and manage data collection through product platforms, surveys, focus groups, and interviews.
  • Perform hypothesis testing and statistical analysis for user data.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security guidelines and regulations.
  • Visualize and interpret analysis results for presentations, reports, and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of industry and/or research experience in data analysis and statistical modeling.
  • Proficiency in data processing, data mining, and data visualization.
  • Experience working with educational data is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, data representation, and data governance principles.
  • Fluency in SQL and relational databases.
  • Expertise in probabilistic models, applied linear and multilevel models, diagnostics and sensitivity analyses, multivariate analysis, predictive modeling, segmentation, and time series forecasting.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as R or Python.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and adaptive learning mindset.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while contributing to a collaborative and dispersed team.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking skills.

What We Offer: The base salary range for this position is expected to be between $100,000 - $110,000, with the actual base salary amount dependent on a number of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s credentials, relevant experience, and primary job location. In addition to salary this role will be eligible for additional company benefits such as stock options, 401(k), paid vacation and sick time, and medical/dental/vision insurance.
