Innovation Year-Round Intern

SUMMARY:
As an Innovation Intern, you will have the exciting opportunity to collaborate with our dynamic team of innovators, creators, and problem-solvers. Your role will involve supporting various innovation initiatives, contributing fresh ideas, and helping drive transformative projects forward. This internship provides a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support Work Plan Development:
  • Assist in creating and refining work plans for innovation projects.
  • Clearly define key milestones and ensure they are met within specified timelines.
Collaborate with Innovators:
  • Engage with cross-functional teams, including Culinary, R&D, BU, SS&P, and Sales.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions, workshops, and ideation processes.
Research and Analysis:
  • Investigate emerging trends, technologies, and market disruptions.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for innovation.
Project Support:
  • Work closely with project managers to execute innovation initiatives.
  • Develop mitigation plans as needed to address challenges.
Communication and Documentation:
  • Document project progress, outcomes, and lessons learned.
  • Recap and support preparation for key meetings and product cuttings
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other communication materials.
Continuous Learning:
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and innovation methodologies.
  • Attend relevant workshops, webinars, and conferences.
  • Learn production processes and capabilities.
  • Invest in personal development.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Education:
Incoming Junior, Senior, or M.A. student actively required with at least one year of school remaining. Pursuing a degree in a relevant field in business, marketing, innovation design, animal/food sciences preferred.
  • Experience:
Previous work experience in any field preferred.
  • Communication:
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Special Skills:
Passionate about innovation, creativity, and problem-solving.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
Computer skills Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Location: Students must be within a commutable distance to the facility, which is 60 miles or less.
