Industry Relations Associate Director

Job Summary:The Industry Relations Manager plays a vital role within the Industry Relations Department at the Wisconsin School of Business (WSB), driving impactful engagement with industry partners and fostering meaningful collaborations to advance institutional goals.Key Responsibilities:- Lead Industry Engagement Initiatives: Spearhead projects related to industry engagement, ensuring timely achievement of objectives. This includes coordinating task forces and committees, providing comprehensive operational support, partnering with corporate entities, and facilitating strategic discussions to propel initiatives forward.- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyze data on industry trends, corporate engagement, and partnership outcomes. Develop detailed reports with actionable insights based on analytics to inform department strategies and measure impact.- Stakeholder Communication & Relationship Management: Serve as the primary communication channel between WSB constituents and the Industry Relations Department. Engage with alumni and industry partners to strengthen relationships and promote collaborative opportunities that align with WSB's mission and broader institutional goals.- Presentation & Resource Development: Assist in creating presentations, reports, and other key resources for stakeholders. Oversee database management to ensure accurate tracking of corporate partners, engagement activities, and market insights.- Event Planning & Execution: Plan, organize, and execute department events such as industry panels, workshops, and networking sessions. Act as a liaison for collaborative event coordination with other campus partners, working closely with Regional Directors to develop event agendas and manage event logistics.- Record & Budget Management: Maintain accurate records of partnerships, engagement activities, and event planning documents. Support budget management and financial tracking for departmental projects and events to ensure efficient resource utilization.The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management skills, a proactive approach to relationship-building, and an analytical mindset to contribute to WSB's industry engagement strategies and objectives.Responsibilities:Coordinates management of multiple related projects and/or ongoing operations, which are directed toward a common objective. Monitors the cost, schedule, and performance of component projects and operations while working to ensure the ultimate success of the program.• 40% Creates a program plan and structure, monitors progress and performance against the program plan, and identifies, resolves, or escalates program risks and issues• 10% Leads and manages efforts to determine and coordinate the sharing of resources among component projects to the overall benefit of the program• 5% Manages the activities of outside contractors and vendors to ensure they are integrated into the program and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service• 5% Facilitates the estimation of program costs, resources, and time required to complete the overall program, monitors activities and budgets, directs and leads component project manager activities for consistency and alignment, and works with program leadership to ensure these targets are met. Follows established change control processes if targets can no longer be met• 20% Prepares regular reports to communicate the status of the program within and beyond the program team, communicates program goals, risks, and status with program executive level, program sponsors, and stakeholders, and develops and uses appropriate dashboards, measures, and reporting tools• 20% Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and collaborates with project staff to meet program targets and milestones.
