Company Description

Upwork has partnered with an enterprise client and they are currently seeking a Contract Product Manager to drive the development and execution of the site-building applications based on the strategic Next Gen Evo methodology. In this contract role, you will oversee the product strategy, collaborate cross-functionally to bring the project to market, and ensure it aligns with business objectives.

MUST: The ideal candidate will work in a hybrid capacity. They have to come to th office in Newton, MA, at least two days per week, as there will be a lot of whiteboarding sessions.


They can start ASAP. This opportunity is expected to last through December 31, 2025.
The role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and the ability to drive product execution in collaboration with multiple stakeholders. This project involves stakeholders working in different time zones; therefore, time flexibility is required.

Job Description

Product Strategy and Execution

  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Evo Project, ensuring alignment with Paytronix’s business goals.
  • Collaborate with leadership and internal teams to prioritize product features, define key milestones, and manage the product - lifecycle from concept to launch.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to validate product opportunities and enhance decision-making.
  • Act as the primary liaison between engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success teams, ensuring smooth cross-functional collaboration.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering teams to translate business requirements into clear, actionable development tasks and ensure timely execution.
  • Work closely with marketing and sales to define product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Gather and incorporate feedback from customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to improve product functionality and user experience.
  • Align with leadership and executive teams to present project updates, KPI progress, and roadmap adjustments.

 

Project and Stakeholder Management

  • Develop and manage a detailed project timeline, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring product development stays on track.
  • Manage product documentation, including PRDs (Product Requirements Documents), roadmaps, and feature specifications.
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment between technical and non-technical teams throughout the product lifecycle.

 

Performance Tracking and Optimization

  • Use data-driven insights to measure the success of product releases and identify areas for optimization.
  • Define and track key KPIs to assess product adoption, user engagement, and overall impact.
  • Continuously iterate on product improvements based on customer feedback and performance metrics.
     

Qualifications

  • Experience in product management for SaaS, tech, or hospitality industries preferred.
  • Strong ability to balance technical feasibility, business objectives, and user needs.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work across teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, execute on a timeline, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes and collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management, roadmapping, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience leveraging data, market research, and user insights to make informed product decisions.

Additional Information

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • In the office: Tuesday and Thursday; the rest of the week can be remote.
  • The weekend work will be permitted based on the project load.
  • Occasionally, there may be early meetings (e.g. 7 AM) with teams in the EU time zone,

Compensation - $60-65 an hour
