Job Description

Corporate Information Technology (CIT) is responsible for the enterprise technology that empowers Visa Inc. staff to support ongoing management of Visa Inc. operations and drive new innovations. The Client Engineering team is responsible Endpoint infrastructure, Compute, Active Directory configuration design/standards, Process Automation, Hardware and application standards, quality assurance and performance testing, Endpoint vulnerability management. 

 

Reporting to the Sr. Manager - Client Engineering the role is responsible for the infrastructure, applications, systems, and services throughout the Visa macOS environment. The successful candidate will be required to assist in defining and setting standards, applying solutions-based engineering, assisting in the design and architecture of the macOS Environment, as well as high level operations support within the department for escalations and communication. 

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Act as technical evangelist for the Mac platform to enhance and promote the solution to the business. 
  • Create and maintain all necessary documentation for supported applications to include products certified, installation and maintenance scripts. 
  • Evaluate new releases, fixes, security updates etc., for supported applications and installation on all supported workstations platforms. 
  • Work with various departments, technicians, and other SME's in reviewing certifications of new applications. 
  • Create packages utilizing JAMF and 3rd party tools as required. 
  • Provide technical guidance and training to other members of the Client Engineering team. 
  • Evaluate potential implementation of new applications as required. 
  • Provide necessary analysis reports on products evaluated and recommendations. 
  • Provide third level support on issues escalated by the first or second level support. 
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation as needed.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)


Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • 3 - 6 years of experience with JAMF Pro or JAMF Cloud
  • Experience creating installation and packaging scripts using JAMF products
  • Extensive knowledge of MacOS systems management in an Active Directory environment.
  • Extensive experience in troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
  • Experience with network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi).
  • Keep on top of the latest technologies and market trends in the information technology field and provide recommendations on new applications, products, and or solutions.
  • Experience providing second or third level support on multiple applications.
  • Experience with datacenter server architecture and security principles.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor.
  • Ability to coordinate activities within cross-divisional and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to effectively perform problem isolation and resolution of critical systems to have the least amount of impact and downtime.
  • Ability to assess, analyze and research technical situations and provide viable alternatives.
  • Ability to learn new technologies, concepts, and procedures quickly.
