IAM/Infrastructure Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled IAM/Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Unix or Windows Server architecture, networking, and scripting languages, with a focus on providing robust infrastructure support in large enterprise environments. You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing system stability, troubleshooting complex issues, and automating processes to improve efficiency. This position requires excellent communication skills to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders, as well as a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.


Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with technology teams to analyze and resolve infrastructure issues promptly.
  • Troubleshoot defects, discrepancies, and performance trends to improve system stability.
  • Manage incidents, ensuring effective communication with users, application owners, and senior stakeholders across different departments.
  • Enhance infrastructure stability and performance by identifying recurring failures and advising on long-term solutions for application owners.
  • Leverage automation tools to identify system health discrepancies and automate restoration processes, focusing on risk management and cost reduction.
  • Identify and automate manual processes in collaboration with the engineering team.
  • Propose improvements to existing infrastructure setups and processes to enhance stability and efficiency.
  • Participate actively in change management processes, ensuring production environment risks are well-managed.
  • Develop and maintain runbooks to minimize operational errors and improve efficiency across the team.
  • Generate reports with trending statistics to monitor infrastructure health and measure the performance of support services.
  • Be open to learning and supporting proprietary technologies not widely available in the market (no prior knowledge required).


Must have:
  • Strong understanding of Unix or Windows Server architecture.
  • Proficiency with Unix/Linux-based operating systems, commands, and utilities, as well as configuration management tools like LDAP or Windows Server (2003, 2008, 2012) administration, Windows Security, Active Directory (AD) Proxy, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Virtual Directory solutions.
  • Solid networking skills, including experience with configuring and supporting DNS/Bind, Samba, TCP/IP, NFS, LDAP, SSH, DHCP, FTP/TFTP.
  • Proven problem-solving skills in large enterprise infrastructure support environments, with the ability to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical and functional issues to development teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more scripting languages: Shell script, Perl, JavaScript, KSH, BASH, or Python.


Nice to have:
  • Experience in the Financial Services Industry.
  • Familiarity with Cluster Computing and Big Data solutions utilizing public cloud and emerging technologies.
  • A degree in Computer Science or related field.
