VP OF MARKETING (100% Remote in Canada)

Wishpond Technologies currently has the position of VP of Marketing (Canada) available, and we’re excited to tell you about it!

 

OVERVIEW

We are searching for a Vice President of Marketing,  to join our team. This is a fully remote position and the successful individual could be based anywhere in Canada. As a member of the Marketing Team, the incumbent will be responsible for creating and implementing product marketing strategies and processes for all of our brands including Wishpond, PersistIQ, Brax, Viral Loops and Essential Studio Manager.  Working with cross-functional teams, they will help define winning go-to-market strategies and help lead the launches of innovative product releases. The VP of Marketing is responsible for the success of Wishpond Technologies.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and implement strategic marketing initiatives in line with overall business objectives across various marketing functions, including performance marketing, events, social media marketing and product marketing.

• Setting revenue targets and analyzing data to figure out what changes need to be made in order to attain these targets.

• Performing quality control in terms of consistent brand messaging and customer communications.

• Seeking out new relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers and nurturing existing relationships.

• Keeping a close eye on marketing budgets to limit expenses.

• Creating and leading a successful team while nurturing a culture that reflects and enhances company values.

• Using data and analytics for decision-making and measuring marketing effectiveness, as well as creating a culture of structured experimentation and iteration to drive growth.

• Providing strategic guidance and leadership to support overall business growth and success.

• Optimizing the effectiveness of existing marketing channels such as emails, social media, website, etc., based on data-driven insights.

• Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of 5-7 years experience, preferably within a SaaS-oriented marketing operation or marketing agency.

A degree or diploma that contributes to the organization is considered an asset.

Strong recruitment, training, leadership, and negotiation skills.

In-depth knowledge of marketing strategies and best practices.

Capacity to manage global teams and complex projects seamlessly.

Must be detail-oriented and creative and have a passion for helping partners and Team Members achieve their goals.

• Ability to analyze data and information to make key decisions that lead to continuous wins

• Strong in audience and marketing research

Self-motivated with the ability to establish and maintain solid relationships through a client-first mentality. 

As part of a diverse team, ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Must be technical, analytical, results-driven and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Organized, administratively strong, and have solid writing, phone, and general communication skills.

 Fluent in English (spoken and written). Knowledge of a second language is considered an asset.

Willing to participate in ongoing education and training for the role.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

• It is expected that the successful candidate will provide their own workstation, computer, and headset, and have a fast and reliable internet connection. Certain roles will be required to utilize and or download company-approved software.

• The individual must be prepared to work standard business hours on EST or PST

• Due to the nature of this role, we may verify backgrounds including conducting employment references, criminal record, and credit checks.

• Once hired, the successful candidate must provide a valid government-issued photo ID and proof of residential address as part of their onboarding process.
