Sales Director, APAC

Join Wordly's fast growing global team!

The Sales Director, APAC will work closely with our executive team and other leaders in our sales & marketing organization. You will be responsible for selling Wordly AI software via web meetings, in-person meetings, and email, responding to high volume inbound and outbound contacts, prospecting, qualifying new business opportunities, closing sales, and collaborating with the marketing team members to improve sales process and Wordly’s ability to attain quota.

Sales Director Responsibilities:

  • Follow-up on in-bound leads from marketing programs and trade shows

  • Identify potential customers and set sales strategies

  • Respond to RFPs

  • Develop strong and long-term client relationships

  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements

  • Get customer feedback and suggest ways to increase customer engagement

  • Travel if needed to marketing events to assist in trade show booth activities

  • Resolve issues and handle complaints quickly and effectively

  • Demonstrate and communicate the Wordly value proposition

  • Collaborate with Wordly leadership to identify potential marketing assisted sales campaigns to our defined targets and/or verticals

  • Use sales tools like Hubspot to maintain a current and accurate pipeline of deals

Qualifications Required:

  • Located in APAC region

  • At least 10 years of proven work experience qualifying and closing deals

  • Experience selling technology solutions

  • Experience with CRM software and MS Office or GSuite (particularly MS Excel/Google Sheets)

  • An ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics

  • Excellent communication and time management skills

  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills

  • Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Excellent collaborator with the skills needed to engage across multiple teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing, etc.) and multiple geographies to drive the outcomes needed to ensure success

  • Professional, executive presence internally and externally.

  • Experience in working with complex technologies

Desirable Additional Qualifications:

  • Proficient with reading and speaking another language in addition to English

  • Experience selling AV Equipment/Services or Language Services

  • Experience selling B2B SaaS tech products

This is a contract position.

Located in Los Altos, California, Wordly is an exciting tech startup that is looking to grow its engineering and GTM teams! From virtual meetings to large, in-person conference venues, Wordly strives to provide high quality, real-time translation services in 50+ languages to anyone, anywhere. 

Wordly caters to numerous customers around the world which include local organizations and businesses; government entities; Fortune 500 companies; and much, much more. While this is a fully remote position, office space in Los Altos, California is available for San Francisco Bay Area residents that wish to utilize it.
