UX Designer

We are helping Inquisitive, one of our portfolio companies hire a UX Designer. Inquisitive is a fast-growing education technology company with a vision of universal access to high quality learning. In the 6 years since launch, Inquisitive has grown to be used by 50,000 teachers in 5,000 primary schools, and is now taking off in the United States.

We’re looking for a talented and experienced Product Designer to join our exceptional team as we continue to innovate and deliver meaningful education solutions.

We are looking for a self-starter who thrives on solving problems through both qualitative and quantitative research. Someone who enjoys shaping solutions from insights, has an outstanding aesthetic, and can work across design and product strategy.

What you’ll bring:

  • Excellent collaboration skills with our product, education, and operations teams.
  • Strong initiative and motivation to own and drive projects.
  • Confidence in conducting qualitative research (interviews, usability testing) and quantitative research (surveys, data analysis) and applying those insights.
  • Enjoys iterating on ideas and solutions based on real user feedback.
  • A pragmatic, can-do attitude.
  • A genuine passion for education, especially primary education, and a desire to make a meaningful impact in classrooms.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • 3+ years’ experience in UX design with a strong research foundation.
  • A portfolio of past work that demonstrates how you’ve used research to influence design (Website or PDF).
  • Proven ability to identify user pain points and translate them into simple, elegant product solutions.
  • Proficiency in Figma (our primary tool), with experience in prototyping and design systems.
  • Ability to run and interpret both qualitative and quantitative research studies.
  • An understanding of front-end technologies and experience designing responsive, accessible web interfaces.
  • Bonus points: experience or knowledge of service design.
  • Bonus points: experience in graphic design, marketing, or illustration.
