It’s time for a career you can be proud of.Occupational Health Senior Manager (RN/NP)What you will doIn this role, you will maintain the health and safety of Amgen staff through the provision of high-level clinical care and program leadership in a team environment. This is an onsite role providing medical services for workplace injury and illness, injury recordkeeping, medical surveillance, and delivery of wellbeing initiatives at the Amgen Thousand Oaks Occupational Health Clinic. This Occupational Health Sr. Manager will interface regularly with cross-functional partners including human resources, environment, health and safety, facilities, and security. The preferred candidate will possess a comfort level navigating the healthcare environment in a corporate setting and hold a valid California state registered nurse and/or nurse practitioner license.Key program areas and responsibilities include:• Treatment and management of workplace injury and illness within clinical license scope• Case management of work-related injury/illness and episodic personal health matters• Coordinating and managing return-to-work and reasonable accommodations cases• Performing medical surveillance exams, international travel health consultations; immunizations, and screening tests• Acting as a strategic partner and resource within the Environment, Health, and Safety team• Championing health promotion and wellbeing initiatives• Ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations such as OSHA, workers compensation, and ADA• Managing site AED program and supporting site emergency response• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff, management, human resources, and security teams• Compliance with ethical, legal, professional requirements, and corporate policies and proceduresWhat we expect of youThe occupational health professional we seek will possess these qualifications:Basic Qualifications:• High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Occupational Health experience OR• Associate’s degree and 10 years of Occupational Health experience OR• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Occupational Health experience OR• Master’s degree and 4 years of Occupational Health experience OR• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Occupational Health experiencePreferred Qualifications:• 5+ years of experience in an occupational health setting• Current CPR/BLS Certification• Experience and familiarity with California workers compensation regulations and case management• Experience and knowledge of OSHA and Cal-OSHA regulations and recordkeeping• Certification with audiometry and spirometry and OSHA regulated medical surveillance• Proficiency with electronic medical records• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills• Ability to work effectively in teams and lead others• Possess strong clinical skills and ability to rapidly prioritize responsibilities in response to clinical need and staff population• Knowledge of Occupational Health and safety principles• Skill in developing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence• Well versed in Microsoft Office, proficiency in PowerPoint slides• Strong organizational skills and attention to detailWhat you can expect of usThe annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is competitive and will be discussed during the interview process.
