Job Description

Position Summary

The Compensation Analyst is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of compensation programs that align with organizational objectives. This position plays a key role in ensuring compensation practices are competitive, equitable, and compliant. The Compensation Analyst will conduct market analyses, maintain accurate compensation data, perform regular audits, and contribute to compensation planning and strategy. This position reports directly to the SVP of Human Resources.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $72,500- $95,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities

  • Support the development, implementation, and administration of salary structures, incentive programs, and other compensation initiatives.
  • Conduct compensation benchmarking and market pricing using survey data to evaluate internal and external competitiveness.
  • Evaluating and implementing job analysis tools, techniques, and materials.
  • Conducts comprehensive job evaluations by analyzing job descriptions, responsibilities, and competencies.
  • Maintain and regularly age compensation data to reflect current market conditions and trends.
  • Ensures data integrity and accuracy in HR systems by conducting routine audits.
  • Analyze the company’s remuneration structures and policies and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal compensation guidelines and applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and department leaders to provide compensation guidance during job evaluations, promotions, and organizational changes.
  • Assist in the annual compensation review process, including salary adjustments, merit increases, and bonus planning.
  • Maintain compensation data in HR systems and support reporting needs with dashboards and analysis.
  • Prepare presentations, models, and reports for use by HR leadership and other key stakeholders.
  • Participate in industry and local surveys to ensure market competitiveness
  • Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry trends impacting compensation strategy and compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in compensation analysis at a medium to large size company
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) designation preferred
  • Experience supporting multi-state or seasonal workforces is a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present actionable insights
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with HRIS and compensation management tools
  • Knowledge of job evaluation methodologies and compensation survey data sources
  • Understanding of compensation-related laws and compliance requirements
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

Additional Information

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
  • No adverse or hazardous conditions
  • Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
