As Talent Advisors, we will be the liaison between our Bloom Partner and yourself during this recruitment process. We do not use fancy tech to search through resumes at Bloom; every resume is reviewed by a human to ensure that we attain a consistent and equitable interview process. Hi, I’m Natalie Dusome, Founder and CEO of Poppy & Peonies.


At Poppy & Peonies, we’re a fun and energetic brand that believes style and function should always go hand-in-hand. We’re passionate about creating practical pieces that make life a little easier and literally lighten the load.


Building Poppy & Peonies has been an incredible adventure. It all started when my daughter Poppy was born, and I found that my accessories no longer fit my new life as a mom. I needed bags with pockets and organization that looked cool but also had functionality. When I couldn’t find them, I decided to create them myself. And so, in 2015, Poppy & Peonies was born.


We’ve come a long way since then—from filling orders in my basement to appearing on Dragons’ Den, and now, expanding into new product categories and collaborating with exciting influencers and brands. It hasn’t always been smooth sailing, but thanks to our incredible community, we’ve never felt more loved and supported!


We believe in our responsibility to care for the environment and are passionate about preserving the health and welfare of our planet and the animals that live on it. That’s why all of our bags are made from high-quality vegan leather, and our entire product line is vegan, cruelty-free, and PETA-approved. We ship our products plastic-free and use a combination of recycled, compostable, and biodegradable materials to mitigate shipping waste. We are constantly looking for new ways to make our products and supply chain more sustainable, reducing our carbon footprint.


About the Role


As our Social Media Coordinator, you are the creative force behind our day-to-day social media presence. You’ll be responsible for bringing our brand to life online through content creation, posting, and community engagement. From crafting eye-catching posts and stories to interacting with our vibrant community, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and growing our online presence.

The Opportunity
  • Creating and scheduling engaging social media content across all our platforms, including posts, stories, reels, and videos.
  • Proposing innovative ideas to keep our social media presence fresh and engaging, following trends when you think it aligns with our brand identity.
  • Monitoring social media channels, engaging with followers, responding to comments and messages, and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Handling day-to-day administrative tasks such as content calendar management, influencer outreach, and scheduling posts.
  • Assisting with planning and executing social media campaigns, including influencer collaborations and promotions.
  • Ensuring the brand’s voice is communicated throughout all our digital activities, with a focus on social media.
  • Supporting the Social Media Lead in tracking and analyzing social media performance, preparing reports, and providing insights for improvement.
  • Collaborating closely with the Social Media Lead and other team members to ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and marketing goals.
  • Being an active collaborator at our photoshoots.

  • You stay up-to-date on trends across social platforms and are eager to apply them in your work.
  • You have a creative mindset and are excited to learn how to make data-informed decisions.
  • You are familiar with basic marketing analytics tools and are willing to learn more about tracking performance and crafting insights.
  • You have strong communication skills and can effectively engage with customers online.
  • You are a collaborative team player who enjoys brainstorming and working with others.
  • You are adaptable and can manage shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.

Location
  • We are a fully remote team across North America.
  • Due to the nature of the opportunity, elements of this role will require a mixture of remote and in-person work. There may be occasional domestic or international travel in the future for photoshoots, events, and team retreats. 


Compensation and Total Rewards
  • Annual Salary ranges from $60,000 to $70,000 CAD 
  • 3 weeks of paid vacation per year 
  • 5 additional flex days
  • Summer Fridays
  • $1,500 CAD annual health & wellness spending account 
  • $250 CAD annual period & menstrual budget 
  • $1,000 CAD annual allowance towards Poppy & Peonies product 
  • $400 CAD home office setup allowance
