In this role, you will establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes that support products in a production environment. As needed, measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance consistent with organization quality goals, integrate quality system applications between engineering, manufacturing, and operations to ensure the consistent and ongoing use of quality best practices and communication of quality issues, and facilitate troubleshooting of quality issues with diverse teams, lead causal analysis activities to drive to root cause and corrective action.
In addition, you will perform reviews and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records. You will perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100, recommend initiatives and/or changes that will improve product and system quality, and provide quality assurance subject matter expertise to inspection, manufacturing and test. Periodically, you will interface with internal and external customers on quality related concerns and develop training materials to build quality awareness.
In this role you will report directly to the Quality Engineering Manager. As part of a diverse and hardworking team of Quality Engineers, you will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of developing, testing and launching Space systems to support Blue Origin’s Vision. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification, Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
