Job Description

BryceTech is looking for an Event Specialist to join our team and help Air Force Research Laboratory’s Department of the Air Force in coordinating and managing events. The selected candidate will work directly with the Air Force Program Management Office (PMO). The candidate must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide oversight for a small team.
  • Coordinate and manage a variety of high-profile, large-scale events with multiple stakeholders, being involved in multiple aspects from planning to post-event analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal communication teams and leadership to align event planning with strategic goals.
  • Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, and logistics to ensure seamless execute.
  • Identify and secure venues, catering services, vendors, and more to meet budget and quality expectations.
  • Ensure events are consistent with organizational goals and communications strategies.
  • Collaborate with staff and external partners for successful operations.
  • Ensure the events adhere to organizational guidelines, security requirements, and government protocols.
  • Identify risks and mitigation strategies to ensure success of events.
  • Maintain detailed records of event planning, contracts, and performance metrics.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from attendees and stakeholders to assess the event’s performance and identify areas are of improvement.

Participate in internal discussions to provide tactical knowledge to better inform strategic planning.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, business administration, hospitality management, marketing or communications or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in event planning or coordination, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role managing teams.
  • Military or government experience is preferred.  
  • Preferred experience with virtual or hybrid events.
  • Strong experience in managing complex events, coordinating with cross-organizational teams, and managing tasks in high-pressure situations.
  • Familiar with full event lifecycle and can provide prost-event analyses and recommendations.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to think critically and make decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.  
  • Strong understanding of budget management and cost optimization.
  • Proficiency in event planning tools, virtual platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with preferred experience in AP style writing.  
  • Ability to travel as required.

Secret clearance required.
