The Opportunity

Reporting to the Executive Director, Enterprise Platform, you will be a leader responsible for the strategy, execution and operations support for the SAP Platform at CSL. Managing a team of FTEs and SI Partners, you will ensure overall success and business alignment of our SAP Platform environment. CSL is embarking on a multi-year ERP transformation program that will consolidate our 3 legacy SAP environments into a single instance that will be hosted within SAP Rise. You will have a demonstrated track record of managing and maintaining a current SAP S/4 platform, collaborating and coordinating across ATR, OTC, PTI, IBP and STP solution delivery leaders to ensure platform features are achieved. You will ensure the ERP platform stays current on patches and versions and achieves maximum value through the SAP Rise and designated support contracts.

The Role

  • Accountability of strategy, execution and support of the ERP Platform, which includes SAP S/4, MDM and Knowledge Management solutions within the ERP environment
  • Partner with ATR, OTC, PTI, STP and IBP solution delivery leaders to align platform backlog and feature roadmap, ensuring overall maturity of the platform environment
  • Promote an automation mindset, improving quality and speed in maintaining patches and version upgrades for the S/4 environment
  • Maximize platform feature scale and leverage across the S/4 and MDM solutions
  • Manage daily operational relationships for the SAP and SI Partners that provide support; this includes ownership of the SAP Rise contract and overall SAP support agreement
  • Maintain high level of visibility and operational stability of the SAP Platform, facilitating periodic metric review of KPIs
  • Manage overall security program for the SAP environment, ensuring appropriate entitlements and support for audit activities that occur annually
  • Talent Development: Hire, develop and retain critical talent, modernization of our delivery and development methodologies to align to a platform delivery mindset. Provide mentorship and guidance for direct reports and the broader technology delivery organization.
  • Financial Accountability: Ensure accurate financial budgets are observed across your programs and cost centers. Be a model of financial stewardship for your team to mirror.
  • Product and Agile Execution Shift: Define the product solution portfolio and bring business and technology stakeholders on the journey of change. Drive industry best practices and set a high bar of standards, establishing a quarterly pace of change.
  • Technology Expert: Stay up to date on current trends in industry and within the technology landscape which you are accountable for, adoption and leveraging to lead improvements and value for the enterprise

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required with a preferred focus in Computer Science or related field.
  • 12+ years of IT service operations experience with a minimum of 7 years managing SAP S/4
  • 5+ years of experience managing people and SI partners
  • 5+ years of experience deploying solutions in a highly regulated industry at a global scale
  • 5+ years of experience executing through an Agile delivery framework, with experience managing product backlog and feature roadmap
  • Experience building and maturing ERP DevOps processes, incorporating code quality, code security, change and release management
  • Demonstrated expertise in the SAP BTP Platform, experience designing and deploying solutions within the platform framework
  • Demonstrated expertise with SAP MDG solution
  • Experience with modern software development principles, including code management, test automation, APIs, microservices and cloud services
