Plant Manager

We are looking for a hands-on Plant Manager to join our growing team in Fresno, CA. The Plant Manager will manage daily plant operation, plant maintenance and leadership of shift crew; by being physically on the floor and leading by example.

As a Plant Manager, you will be responsible for managing a diverse and talented operations team. Your primary goal is to properly organize staff members and achieve a reasonable workflow throughout the day. Your position will also include directing, disciplining, training, and assisting lower-level manufacturing employees in a factory setting.

 

What will your job involve?

·       Facilitates hiring, training, developing, and ongoing floor support and direction

·       Interact with associated managers to ensure most cost and time efficient production workflow

·       Create and maintain all production related records demonstrating performance to meet departmental and BU KPI’s.

·       Create production related reports and liaise with associated managers to ensure minimum costs impacts and prevent operational delays

·       Conducts regular quality assurance training to staff in line with metrics

·       Creates and offers solutions to troubleshoot and solve operational inefficiencies

·       Monitors plant equipment and makes minor repairs when possible

·       Manages stock control, inventory, and ordering metrics and provides analysis and feedback to Supervisors

·       Hiring, training, and developing of all production and shipping/receiving focused employees

·       Develops streamlined operations such as process flow mapping, time in motion studies, risk assessments, and other continuous improvement functions to ensure alignment with metric targets

·       Oversees regulatory compliance, ISO, and AQIS administration for the site

·       Manage proactive and reactive safety measures to show continuous improvement in safety including accurate and timely measurement and recording of loss time injuries (LTI’s)

·       Foster and maintain a positive “team” relationship between production and other departments

·       Ensures preventive program maintenance is done at the end of each shift

·       Engages in effective communication across teams, departments, and organization by using Daniels’ communication systems and platforms

·       Effectively manages allocation of resources to meet objectives (headcount, budget, scheduling, etc.)

·       Assists in the annual performance review process

·       Develops and maintains a productive, professional, and customer-service oriented team

·       Ensures compliance with necessary safety procedures (weekly training of workplace, health and safety)

·       Ensures that a facility maintenance and upkeep program is developed and maintained

·       Keeps machinery, floor workplaces, and operating areas free of clutter, debris, or other OSHA hazards

An effective leader who enjoys a fast-paced environment, the Plant Manager is an integral part of the manufacturing process at Daniels Health. The perfect candidate will need to be able to communicate in a variety of ways, from transmitting information to coaching their people and must be competent and comprehend complex operations. Here’s some of the skills and attributes that would make you a great fit candidate:

·       5+ years plant/warehouse management experience (or relatable experience)

·       Mechanical background

·       Budget Management

·       Familiar with OSHA and similar guidelines

·       Proven experience in improving processes and procedures

·       Occasionally working in confined spaces; extensive lifting, walking, bending, and pushing. Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds and push and/or pull carts weighing as much as 300 pounds;

·       Occasionally bending, twisting, and turning while lifting weights of less than fifty (50) pounds;

·       Standing for extended periods of time.

·       The successful candidate will be required to complete a medical exam (including drug screen), police clearance check and reference checks.

·       Works well with others and can motivate people you work with.

·       Good communication skills both written and verbal with record-keeping discipline 

·       Ability to work weekends, holidays or flex hours as needed by production demands


$80,000 - $110,000 biweekly
Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, benefits, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
