DevOps Engineer

About Dyania Health

Dyania Health is a venture-backed company founded in 2019 which has developed Synapsis AI, an end-to-end system that combines a medically pre-adapted LLM with a physician-driven algorithmic reasoning engine to understand and assess clinical characteristics in electronic medical records. Synapsis AI is designed for installation within the healthcare system's computing environment or on healthcare system private clouds to automate the process of manual chart review of EMRs, without removing any data from the healthcare system. Synapsis AI completes pre-screening on both unstructured and structured patient data, and deploys medical logic with temporal sensitivity to match dynamically changing patient characteristics with complex clinical trial criteria during the exact window of time that a given EMR may qualify for study protocol criteria.

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring the continued successful deployments of Synapsis AI within healthcare systems’ computing environments. It’s a hybrid position based in our offices in Athens, Greece and will possibly require travel between our HQ in the US and our subsidiary in Greece.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enhance development processes across Azure and AWS environments.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates to streamline deployments in public and private cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with development, AI, and Clinical teams to integrate security controls and best practices throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Engage with clients and their IT departments to understand their technical environments and ensure compatibility with client infrastructures.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients, troubleshooting deployment issues, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction during the integration process.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and incident response, reducing manual interventions and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Deploy, manage, and optimize container orchestration environments (Docker) across both Azure, AWS, and client environments.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or a related role, with a focus on cloud-based environments.
  • Proficiency with both Azure and AWS cloud platforms, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Azure VMs, or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure Pipelines, or similar).
  • Solid knowledge of networking, firewalls, VPNs, and security protocols for both cloud and on-premise deployments.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Singularity.
  • Strong skills in automating, provisioning and deploying services (shell/Python scripting, Ansible).
  • Exposure to system and application observability (logging, monitoring, alerting).
  • Experience interacting with clients, delivering and supporting deployments on varied technical environments.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, or similar certifications.
