Description
The Embarcadero Media Foundation is seeking a sharp, curious and committed journalist to join our award-winning newsroom as a Peninsula Reporter, covering some of the Bay Area’s most dynamic communities — including Mountain View, Redwood City, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Atherton, Portola Valley and Woodside.
This writing position will be focused on the Mid-Peninsula, and will report on public policy, community issues, city government, housing, transportation, environment and the people shaping our region. The reporter will produce stories for our network of local news sites — including Mountain View Voice, The Almanac and Redwood City Pulse, Palo Alto Online and the weekly print editions of The Almanac and Palo Alto Weekly.
We’re looking for a reporter who thrives on enterprise and accountability reporting, who can turn around a breaking news brief and then dig into deeper, meaningful stories that reflect the needs and concerns of our diverse communities. An ability to be flexible and to dive into new issues every day will be key.
The full-time job pays $21 to $27 an hour and includes health benefits and a 403(b) savings plan.
