Job Description

As Lab Analyst within the Particle Identification department, you will be responsible for conducting chemical and physico-chemical testing on polymer materials used for different applications and therapies.

Responsibilities:

  • Making technical recommendations for routine projects and tasks with minimal assistance.
  • Analyzing and redesigning key experimental procedures independently.
  • Selecting appropriate techniques and procedures to solve problems within the area of responsibility.
  • Employing suitable methods to successfully execute routine assignments within negotiated deadlines.
  • Identifying alternative methods and technologies to improve existing or new products and processes.
  • Communicating with various stakeholders (analysts, scientist, etc) to ensure shared understanding of analysis needs, expectations, and interpretation of results.
  • Reporting issues within the area of work (e.g., out-of-trend, out-of-specification results, equipment issues, or activity conflicts), proposing solutions, and participating in investigations.
  • Maintaining laboratory reagents, materials, and equipment in good working order.
  • Adhering to quality systems and applying applicable corporate, divisional, and departmental requirements.
  • Following general and specific environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines.

Qualifications

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in a science related field such as chemistry. Master is a plus.
  • Experience with FTIR microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, light microscopy, or other particle characterization experience is a plus.
  • A previous experience in an analytical environment (GxP) is a bonus.
  • Able to identify and solve technical issues.
  • Able to work in a team environment and demonstrate flexibility and an inclusion attitude.
  • Possess fluent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.

  • A full-time (40hours/week) Monday – Friday job.
  • A Permanent contract with flexible working hours. (Can start between 7:00 and 9:30am)
  • Place of work: Braine L’Alleud.
