About the Role
This position reports to the Director, Supply Chain and will be responsible for buying to overall manufacturing and production plan. This individual will be accountable for ensuring raw materials are available for production according to schedules and customer needs.
What You Will Do
Maintain data in purchasing and inventory systems.
Solicits and evaluates proposals for the requested material or services
Maintains effective and proper relations with suppliers and their representatives
Supports production schedules which focus on optimizing raw material costs, purchased components costs, on-time delivery of customer orders, and supplier performance, etc.
This effort is coordinated with other supporting departments.
Analyzes the requirements of raw materials and components, including specifications, preferred supplier, and date material is needed to support the production schedule
Supports and maintains the Supplier Quality program with onboarding new suppliers for all production and manufacturing material.
Investigates and/or interviews potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements
Assists team members or management on selecting the appropriate supplier to be used based upon value-cost analysis for material or services
Negotiates the cost for the material or services balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs
Assures that the material is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company
Maintains timely control of purchase orders, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records
Works closely as a resource to the accounts payable department to ensure suppliers are
paid on time and billing is accurate
Other duties as assigned
What You Will Bring
At minimum a BS in science, business, accounting, or related field, with at least three years of relevant industry experience, including manufacturing, supply chain, or quality control. Broad knowledge of life science reagents or genomics is a plus.

Skilled at building and managing schedules, timelines, and inventory allocation

Ability to read, write, and edit working documents
Compensation & Benefits
This role is offering a salary between $90,000 - $120,000 and is eligible for equity offerings. Foresight offers benefits including paid vacation, sick time, and parental leave (if applicable), alongside medical, dental, vision, life, disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, and a 401k with company match.
