Provider Relations Manager

At Guaranteed Health we are on a mission to change the death and dying experience and are incredibly passionate about improving end-of-life care. We partner with health plans, providers, and other risk-bearing entities to improve outcomes for their highest acuity patients by deploying a value-based and tech-forward care navigation service. We are looking for people to join us on our mission, who are similarly obsessed with patient experience and delivering excellence in care

As a Manager of Provider Relations, this role will collaborate with providers (PCPs, Hospitals, BHOs, FQHCs, Health Systems, etc.) in markets where Guaranteed is contracted to provide services (starting with the Greater Los Angeles region and the Bay Area). This role involves outreaching, educating and building relationships with high-priority providers to build strong referral partnerships. This individual will develop and maintain strategic relationships with providers, schedule introductory growth meetings, formalize referral partnerships and share relevant reports about shared patients and program updates ongoing.

This crucial position ensures that we maintain strong referral relationships for our programs, can grow our network quickly as new opportunities arise and establishes strong networks for high-need patients to get the support/resources they need ongoing.

The Day to Day

  • Establishes consistent and strong relationships with provider groups utilizing an account management approach.

  • Plans, prepares, and executes effective provider group meetings/discussions with proper objectives and expected outcomes.

  • Plans outreach efforts to provider groups in line with goals and objectives of the organization.

  • Establishes formal referral relationships with providers and facilitates warm hand-off to local internal clinical operations team.

  • Maintains ongoing communication with provider leadership regarding relevant program updates, while continuously evaluating opportunities to improve the partnership.

  • Stays closely connected to clinical and market operations to support opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years combined of related education or experience.

  • Experience at an early-stage, fast paced, growth oriented startup is a plus!

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field.

  • Experience in a growth-oriented provider partnership role, with a focus on developing formal referral networks to grow patient panels.

  • Willingness to travel up to 75% for provider meetings, networking events, etc.

  • Comfortable presenting to Providers and driving the conversation, answering unscripted questions, and building relationships based on subject matter expertise.

  • Comfortable reviewing data and reporting with provider groups, as well as using analytics to inform opportunities for improvement and growth related to partnerships.

  • Highly responsive to Providers as “customer” being a single point of contact for valuable relationships.
