Senior Manager MG Operations

Job Description:

The Senior Operations Manager will, under the direction of Operational Leadership, work in conjunction with Clinical, Nursing, Operations and other supporting departments to guide and deliver on Intermountain's vision of extraordinary care. The Senior Operations Manager will lead and direct daily oversight of clinic teams, projects and local Operations/system wide strategic initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for active management of tactics vital for “at risk” contracts in Senior Primary Care. This includes (but not limited to) supporting clinic teams in management of the following: SMT process management, Care Management collaboration, leading/attending CRR patient reviews, reporting out monthly Utilization trends, Monthly Operation Reviews, HCC reconciliation and HEDIS management
  • Responsible for supporting and improving the desired achievement of: caregiver experience, patient experience, clinical quality measures, patient and caregiver safety culture.
  • Builds and fosters relationships critical to the successful delivery of care, including relationships with Process Owners, Dyad Partners, Supporting Department Leaders and cross-functional teams at various levels of management.
  • Responsible for coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders and leaders to ensure execution and compliance with relevant clinical policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates effective oral and written communication with senior leadership and individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Models a commitment to Intermountain's Mission, Vision, and Values and holds staff accountable to established standards and expectations.
  • Responsible for leading the Practice Manager team, and supporting staff, across a multi-site management span of control within the designated geographic area. This includes strategy deployment, best practice sharing and standardization, metric management, operational efficiency, stewardship within controllable financial levers, talent development, performance management, managing budgetary targets and effective resource management.
  • Supports continuous improvement and communication of key performance indicators for area of responsibility

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three years of experience in a progressively responsible leadership position within the healthcare industry
  • Expertise in metric management and leading teams
  • Experience in process improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate interdisciplinary teams and to develop effective relationships with individuals from a variety of backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare management, or healthcare related discipline. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
  • Previous experience in multi-site management
  • Previous working experience in an “at risk” clinic model

Physical Requirements:

  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
  • Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
  • For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$43.67 - $67.41
