THE ROLE

The Khan Academy Kids team is looking for a dynamic and driven Senior Strategy & Operations Manager to join our team. As a Senior Strategy & Operations Manager, you will play an important role in defining and executing our product strategy and grow our impact on early childhood education. You’ll work closely with leadership to identify market opportunities and drive high-impact initiatives as we explore new technologies and new products.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Analysis: Develop and refine strategies to expand our reach, enhance our products, and drive our impact
  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Identify emerging trends, new technologies, learner needs, and competitive forces to inform product and content strategy
  • Product Strategy: Define and refine product positioning to ensure product-market fit and differentiation 
  • Product Innovation: Stay ahead of technical and AI developments and learning innovations to inform product decisions. Work with product and engineering teams to evaluate and determine technical solutions
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytics to inform iterative improvements, optimize strategies, and ensure measurable impact
  • Go-to-Market Strategies: Design and execute strategies for entering new markets and global regions, launching new products, and scaling existing initiatives
  • Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to expand our impact globally

This is a full-time hybrid position. We have a preference for candidates who can work 2-3 days a week from the Khan Kids office in San Mateo, CA

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 4+ years of experience in strategy consulting, product management, business development, or related fields (preferably in EdTech or early childhood education)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into into clear and compelling written and verbal narratives and actionable solutions
  • Experience in market research, financial modeling, and competitive analysis
  • A strong entrepreneurial and self-starter mindset, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves to help the team get the work done
  • ​​Industry experience in early childhood education, ed-tech, and/or the non-profit sector preferred
  • Bonus points for experience with AI speech recognition, curriculum development, language learning, and/or global education markets
  • Proven cross-cultural competency skills demonstrating self-awareness, awareness of other, and the ability to adopt inclusive perspectives, attitudes, and behaviors to drive inclusion and belonging throughout the organization.

The target salary range for this position is $127,423 - $159,279 USD. The pay range for this position is a general guideline only. The salary offered will depend on internal pay equity and the candidate’s relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and job market data. Exceptional performers in this role who make an outsized contribution can make well in excess of this range. Additional incentives are provided as part of the complete total rewards package in addition to comprehensive medical and other benefits.
