The pay rate for this role is $16.00 per hour.

 

This is a Summer Internship Program for those pursuing an HR career and studying an HR related field.

 

About the Role

As a Summer Intern for the Human Resources team, you will receive practical hands on HR experience as someone who is looking to pursue a career in the HR Field.  The HR Intern works jointly with HR Business Partners and HR Coordinators to assist with recruiting and onboarding new employees.

 

Role Description

  • Enter new hire data into the HRIS system.
  • Assist with outreach for candidates to come to hiring events on site.
  • Put together materials for orientations and hiring events.
  • Assist with the facilitation and communication needs of all events.
  • Assist with the ownership of the HR duty phone, i.e. listening to voicemails, calling people back with general inquiries, text inquiries as well.
  • Assist with the upkeep of the general HR inbox, forwarding any applicable questions/concerns to the appropriate Business Partner.
  • Participate in corrective action discussions.
  • Participate in learning and development activities on site.
  • Other duties as assigned by the HR Business Partner according to business needs. 

About You

  • Must be pursuing a degree in Human Resources or a related field. 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of social media and professional networks.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to execute multiple tasks are required.
  • Applicant must be self-motivated and have proven their ability to take initiative.
  • Requires a commitment to excellence in customer service and excellent interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must have an aptitude to work with Microsoft Office modules (Word, Excel, e-mail, Power Point).
  • Friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Well-groomed appearance.
  • Ability to make a child’s day memorable.
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Dependable and Responsible (after all our guests depend on you!)
  • Ability to work outdoors in any weather condition.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time, and long distances.
  • Flexible Availability around park hours (peak and nonpeak times).
  • Ability to work nights/weekends/holidays through agreed upon employment.
