Senior Financial Analyst 

SUMMARY  

Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst that will provide support our Construction business. This individual will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of financial solutions to Operating Group leadership teams, including planning, budgeting, forecasting and decision support. This role performs ad-hoc financial analysis, managerial reporting, and other support for Finance Business Partners and Operating Group leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Assist Finance Business Partners in their financial performance review, the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes
  • Provide detailed summaries, reports and recommendations to assist operating groups in managerial decision making
  • Communicate results and estimates to business leaders, prepare and deliver financial updates, create financial models and analyze variances to key operating metrics
  • Support overall annual financial planning process and enhancement initiatives
  • Update and maintain budget to capture, consolidate and model financial data 
  • Support development of standard financial reports for forecasting, trending and results analysis
  • Support development of various financial analysis and reports for the Senior Leadership Team 
  • Identify areas for process improvement and support execution of those efforts
  • Other duties as assigned and requested by Finance Business Partners, Operating Group Leadership, or Senior Leadership Team
  • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum five years prior Finance experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and ERP applications
  • Construction industry exposure is beneficial, not required

The base pay range for this role  is $83,700 - $126,500. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). 

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
