Northrop Grumman is looking for a Director Supply Chain Programs 1 to lead the Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) Command & Control Weapons Integration (CWI) Division, Global Supply Chain (GSC) Organization. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the main focal point for the Program Management Office (PMO) for the entire supply chain and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met, and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers
  • Realize Division strategic objectives and Sector Operating Objectives (SOOs) as they pertain to supply chain performance
  • Develops the material strategy and leads the activities for GSC in all phases of the program lifecycle
  • Ensures that prior to program execution, all elements of the proposed program(s) plans have complete and accurate schedules, budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement and subcontracts strategies
  • Material cost and schedule management (EAC) using Earned Value Management
  • Ensures successful achievement of material sales objectives for the division, while remaining compliant to customer and company requirements
  • Leads supply chain Program execution and is accountable for resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution
  • Briefs the PMO and executive management on the status and issues affecting Program cost and schedule performance
  • Cross functional coordination as it pertains to supplier management, specifically with Operations, Quality Mission Excellence (QME), Procurement, and PMO IPT leads
  • Material risk management, including identification, and mitigation planning and execution
  • Briefs Program and Executive management and Customer on the status and issues affecting Supplier performance and cost

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 10 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals or procurement, OR a Master’s Degree with at least 8 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals or procurement.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience leading a team, process, and/or projects
  • Must have experience leading a team of direct and indirect reports
  • Must have EVMS experience
  • Must have previous experience in Supply Chain
  • Proven ability to establish Supply Chain resiliency by developing dual/multi source supplier strategy
  • At minimum, an active DoD Secret level clearance is required to apply and to start the role, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the Company to meet its business needs
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to lead, influence, and collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Experience with a broad range of supply chain issues, including supplier management, risk management, large and complex proposals, terms and conditions, negotiations, contract types (fixed price and cost type), and post award management

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience leading large, geographically dispersed organizations
  • Post-graduate degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • Demonstrated experience developing and growing teams and shaping a performing culture
  • Demonstrated success in managing large, complex programs and/or organizations
  • TS/SCI

Salary Range: $197,600.00 - $296,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
