Osmo is headquartered in New York, NY, with a new facility in New Jersey, and offices in Somerville, MA.

Osmo is seeking an Associate Fragrance Evaluator with strong insights into fragrance trends and evaluation to join our Perfumery Team. For this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting Generation and Olfactory Intelligence, ingredient discovery and fragrance development. You'll support fragrance testing, help build our internal olfactive library, contribute to trend analysis, and ensure our fragrances align with brand and market needs. You are a quick learner with strong communication skills and a keen attention to detail, supported by experience in fragrance evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Fragrance Product Manager in following new ingredients discovery and in testing for demo kits creation to present to clients.

  • Help to organize, maintain and enrich our olfactive library and fragrance evaluation tools.

  • Contribute to fragrance benchmarking and fragrance market trend reporting.

  • Collaborate with brand manager and sales team to ensure fragrance creations aligns with market and client expectations.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience in fragrance evaluation.

  • Bachelor or MS background in fragrance, sensory evaluation, cosmetic science, chemistry, or a related field.

  • A trained or highly sensitive nose, with strong familiarity of olfactive families and fragrance structures.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to articulate olfactive impressions with nuance.

  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities, thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Ways to stand out

  • Formal training in perfumery (ISIPCA, GIP, Grasse Institute, ESP, or other Perfumery Training)

  • Deep curiosity about technology and innovation in perfumery, think out of the box.

  • Experience in a fragrance house, brand, or evaluation lab.

  • Deep curiosity about fragrance consumer trends and preferences.

  • Demonstrated passion for fragrance storytelling or creative writing.
