About the Content Design team
As part of the Experience Design team, Content Design is responsible for creating data-informed content for the PayPal brands’ web and mobile experiences. Content designers partner with UX designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, and others to create user-centered experiences for people and businesses around the world. We’re a passionate and energetic group that creatively solves problems and values collaboration and diverse opinions.
About the role
Common Platform experiences (including data and privacy, digital identity, settings, and security) are used by our PayPal brands to solve critical customer needs for consumers and merchants. As the Content Design Director (reporting to the Head of Content Design), you’ll lead a global team and foster a culture of design excellence. Responsibilities include:
Establishing a clear content design vision for our platform products, aligning with the overall company strategy and user needs.
Developing and maintaining content design principles and standards to guide platform decisions.
Informing research to identify pain points, opportunities, and key user needs.
Setting clear expectations and performance goals.
Providing ongoing mentorship and coaching to your team, and contributing to their professional growth.
Coordinating with Brand, Marketing, and Operations to create a consistent end-to-end experience.
Requirements
5+ years of experience managing content designers, UX writers, digital content producers, or similar.
Strong understanding of experience design principles, accessibility guidelines, and information architecture.
Experience driving content standards and systems.
Ability to multi-task and set priorities in a fast-moving product landscape.
Experience working in platform and/or financial services, identity, B2B or B2C e-commerce preferred.
Experience with Figma and Gen AI are a plus.
