Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to design and build user-centric products that make a meaningful impact on people's lives.

  • Write reusable, testable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices for maintainability and performance.

  • Develop new features and user interfaces with a mobile-first approach, ensuring seamless experiences across devices.

  • Contribute to the architecture and design of the product, participating in technical discussions and decision-making processes.

  • Solve complex technical challenges, including creating object models, defining APIs, and building web services.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop a deep understanding of business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.

  • Support team success by fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

  • While primarily focused on backend development, you may also contribute to frontend code as needed, ensuring seamless integration across the stack.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in software development, including at least 1 year of success in a 0-to-1 product environment.

  • 2+ years of experience in JavaScript technologies, including Node.js and React

  • Strong understanding of user experience, product strategy, and scalable database design.

  • A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • A track record of designing, building, and deploying high-quality, customer-focused solutions.

  • Experience with testing platforms, unit testing, and clean, maintainable code.
