Please note that while this position is currently fully remote, we are planning to eventually move to a hybrid model as we continue to grow our team in Brighton.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Artist to join our team in Cardiff, UK (however will will also consider in Brighton). The right person will be open and flexible, able to work in wide-ranging rendering and workflow problem spaces with various projects and team sizes. 

The ideal candidate will work closely with other developers and our client partners to support and augment asset workflows. As the main bridge between engineers and artists, both at the studio and our clients, the Senior Technical Artist will be responsible for developing and maintaining solutions to complex art scenarios, which includes ensuring timely and efficient communication, thinking creatively, and successfully delivering milestones.

What We Value:

  • 3+ yrs professional Technical Artist, Art Lead, or other similar experience

  • Proof that you have shipped more than one game cycle through to release, bonus for any certification for current-generation consoles (e.g., Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5)

  • A variety of experience on teams of multi-discipline developers

  • Strong proficiency with shader fundamentals and tools (e.g. HLSL, Unity Shader Graph, UE Material Blueprints) and an ability to adapt to other software made available by the studio or partners

  • Working knowledge of common game engine technologies (e.g., Unreal, Unity, Godot, and proprietary engines). 

  • Working knowledge of common asset creation technologies (e.g. Blender, Maya, 3DSMax, Adobe Suite).

  • An ability to spearhead and maintain asset pipelines across multiple areas of a project

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • A passion for continuous improvement and identifying new avenues to up-skill
